Season So Far: Compared to last season: absolutely brilliant. It took a fairly impressive escape one year ago but no such shenanigans should be necessary this year to stay up. Eighth place and one of the best organized defenses in the EPL.

General vibe to a casual American fan: Lots of American players. Last season, you could expect to see Keller, Bocanegra, Dempsey, and McBride start on an average weekend. Upper management realized the error of their ways and dumped all but Dempsey (although McBride is still fairly adored around the Cottage.)
